]]> http://fca-aok.org/?feed=rss2&p=110 0 Run for the Rock – November 7, 2009 http://fca-aok.org/?p=99 http://fca-aok.org/?p=99#comments Sun, 08 Nov 2009 00:46:39 +0000 admin http://fca-aok.org/?p=99 The Arkansas-Oklahoma Chapter is concentrated in two main areas: Oklahoma City and Tulsa.  For this event, on Saturday, November the 7th, the Oklahoma Citizens and the Tulsans each started from their respective cities, drove down Route 66 and met at the famous Rock Café in Stroud.  We all had a nice lunch, then drove home.

Bob gave us a complete, guided tour of his world-class shop.  Not only did we ogle several Ferraris (275GTB, 250 Tour deFrance, 250GTE, Lusso, SWB and several others) but also a Bugatti sedan, a Mercedes-Benz Gullwing and even an MG.  We also had a good look at Bob’s equipment.  All the while Bob regaled us with stories and explanations and happily answered any and all questions.  (Coachworks will be moving to a new, purpose-built site in the not-to-distant future.)

An Italian lunch at Luigi’s, also in Gainesville, topped-off a wonderful day.  It gave us an opportunity to continue the moment and enjoy some wonderful fellowship with friends of a like mind.

A good turnout and a most enjoyable experience.
